Flexible Waterproof

Fixosil is a flexible waterproof protective coating for marble/ stone, concrete and masonry substrate.

FEATURES

Reinforcement Application

  • Virgin polypropylene mesh can be used over joints, cracks, and whole reinforcement applications.
  • When the completion of the first cost installs the mesh tightly and overcoat the entire area.

Marble/ Stone Waterproofing

  • Recommended applying one coat at coverage of approximately 0.7 - 1 L/sq. M

Shelf Life

  • Fixosil has a shelf period of 12 months if stored in a cool and dry environment.

Curing

  • A minimum of 24 hours is recommended before application of the second coat depending on the surface texture. It is essential that good concreting practice is performed and maintained at every stage of the application process.
  • Ensure that Fixosil is cured properly after application.
  • A minimum of 3 days curing is essential before flooding.

Coverage

  • Approximately 1 L 8-10/sq. M depending on the surface texture. 1 Uv 8-10 sq. M

Application Areas

  • Fixosil is recommended for application on to  the following areas:
  • Recommended for swimming pools, floor walls, bathrooms, slabs, terraces, permanent wet areas, roof sunken water tanks, etc.
  • On cement plaster (external & internal), brick walls, stone walls, concrete walls, on concrete foundations in order to prevent underneath ground moisture, in construction materials, fiber cement sheet, pavement blocks, pool coping, on painted surfaces to protect from moss and dusting, on internal & external painted surfaces, and plaster surfaces.
  • Also applied on metal surfaces, wood surfaces, shingle surfaces as a coating.

Uses

Fixosil can be applied to new or old concrete structures that are structurally sound:

  • Swimming pools internal waterproof coating.
  • Marble/ stone base waterproof/ vapor barrier coating.
  • Concrete roof slabs, wet areas, floor slabs of the balcony.
  • Excellent waterproof coating.

This is an elastomeric ready-to-use one part that waterproofs/ weatherproofs and protects concrete and similar structures.

Swimming Pools

Apply the first coat at an average of 800-1000 micron and fill all the porous completely.

The second coat should apply (approx 1 mm) only after the complete curing (min 48 hours) of the first coat.

We recommend that the treated area should be protected against direct sunlight and damp cured by covering it with damp hessian or similar. But not compulsory.

Do not flood or overexpose to water until it is completely cured.

BATHROOMS/ KITCHENS & WET AREAS

The surface should be cleaned and remove all loose particles prior to Fixosil application.

Wet the surface prior to application. 

Surrounding the pipes & fittings must be treated. 

Corners and edges should be carefully treated with fibre mesh reinforcement.

Fixosil application is done before putting ceramic tiles on walls and bathroom floor tiling.

Apply 2 recommended coats to prevent penetration of water from one wall to the other & let it cure.

This prevents the bubbling of the paint in the other connecting room walls.

Recommended coats: 2 coats

It can be applied from the outside of the foundation walls.

It can be added as a mixture in concrete to fully waterproof the foundation.

It can be applied from the outside of the foundation.
